The man was a ghost. His name, James Henry O’Sullivan, his date of birth November 1, 1974, and his nationality, British, were known. A few photos were circulating on the Internet, sometimes in front of a private jet, then smiling in a rickshaw or at the counter of a bar. and which companies he had in the area of payment service provider Wirecard remained hidden. So far, O’Sullivan has not answered any questions. In early 2020, for example, KPMG consultants asked him for an interview during a special audit at Wirecard. Company management had previously described him as a man of “unquestionable integrity”, calling him a “veteran” as if there was no getting around him. But O’Sullivan just hasn’t spoken. His name or information was not to appear anywhere on the report, it was his condition.
