Johnson & Johnson – New boss for the pharmaceutical giant – Economy

The American pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson is preparing a change at the top of its board of directors. Long-time chairman Alex Gorsky will step down on January 3, 2022 and become executive chairman of the company’s board of directors, Johnson & Johnson announced Thursday. His successor was Joaquin Duato, who, like Gorsky, has worked for the group for more than three decades and has long been a member of senior management. Duato is currently vice chairman of the executive committee of Johnson & Johnson. He should also enter the board of directors, which is higher than the board of directors. Gorsky, who has been at the helm since 2012, said in the announcement that he wanted to step down as president for “family health reasons.”
