IT Companies – Investors Buy McAfee – Economy

A group of financial investors buy out the computer security firm McAfee for a billion in double digits. Holding companies, including Advent and Permira, paid $ 26 per share, McAfee said. The group will be valued including debts at more than $ 14 billion, or 12.1 billion euros, he said. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2022. Investors are considering taking McAfee off the stock market, with the company expected to focus on security applications for private clients. The $ 26 is about a 22.6% premium over Thursday’s closing price, so before buyout speculation takes place. On Friday, stocks jumped about a fifth to $ 25.46, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
