Dax Group – Hellofresh expects much more sales – economy

Mail order company Kochbox Hellofresh wants to cross the six billion euro mark in sales this year. Shares of the Berlin-based company, which was recently included in the German benchmark Dax, jumped more than 13% after the announcement. “The business is booming,” said co-founder and CEO Dominik Richter. Hellofresh now expects currency-adjusted sales growth of between 57% and 62% in 2021 and, in the best-case scenario, sales of over six billion euros. At the start of the year, a maximum increase of 25 percent was in sight. The company now has nearly seven million customers worldwide, whose repeat customers have recently ordered more and more frequently. In the third quarter, sales adjusted for currency effects climbed 45% to 1.41 billion euros. This is significantly less than a year ago, when the plus in the Corona crisis was over 120%. The ten-year-old food supplier relies on so-called baking boxes, which are delivered right to your door in the subscription model with measured recipes and ingredients.
