Global PC market leader Lenovo continues to benefit tremendously from increased demand for laptops during the corona pandemic. In the last quarter, profit rose 119% year-on-year to $ 466 million, as the Chinese company said. Sales increased in the first quarter of the fiscal year ended June 27 to $ 16.9 billion. Lenovo was able to expand its position in Germany. The company sold 670,000 laptops to business customers, corresponding to a market share of 49%. Previously, the value was around 42 percent. The average selling price of computers sold in Germany was around 150 euros higher than the previous year. Overall, Lenovo assumes last year’s short-term corona boom is over.
