In the wage dispute between the Verdi union and the public hospital groups Charité and Vivantes, different advances are emerging. According to information from both sides, the negotiations at Charité this weekend went well and in a constructive manner. There should be an offer on Tuesday, Verdi spokeswoman Meike Jäger said on Sunday. If all this leads to good results, the union is ready to suspend the charity strike. However, there was no merger between the Vivantes subsidiaries and the Verdi union. Talks are set to continue into the new week, but the strike will resume from Monday, Verdi spokesman Ivo Garbe said. Hospital workers called an indefinite strike in all state-owned homes on September 7. They advocate a collective agreement with better working conditions.
