It cannot be because of the customers that the organic retailer Basic has in the meantime become a symbol of business autonomy. They are considered to be as loyal followers as any retailer can dream of. They are supposed to be people who believe in belief. Of course, anyone who does their shopping in a rather expensive organic supermarket usually knows why they are doing it. Bargain hunting is tough here, as is saving money. Promoting ecological agriculture and contributing to a lifestyle suitable for grandchildren is something you can do very well there.
