Airbus – feared job cuts – economy

According to an insider, the European aircraft manufacturer Airbus sees 1,000 of the 2,500 jobs in Germany threatened if the production of spare parts remains in the group. This emerges from a document that Airbus presented to the works council and trade unionists, a person familiar with the project told Reuters news agency. Airbus is promoting the sale of this part of the supplier subsidiary Premium Aerotec to employee representatives, which mainly produces small spare parts for commercial and military aircraft in Augsburg and Varel.
